It seems to be the season of multi – starrers in Tamil cinema industry. There are many multi – starrer flicks that have occupied the screens in the state, but still the filmmakers are toying with the idea of multi – starrers, since there seems to be a big market for movies when stars come together for action on screen. Movies like Kalakalappu, Mankatha, Mugamoodi, Nanban, Kadal and so on went on to become hit flicks last year and early this year and hence the filmmakers are now trying their hands with multi starrers now more than ever.
Movies like Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Moondru Paer Moondru Kadhal, Chennaiyil Oru Naal and untitled Ajith – Arya flick and so on are also multi starrers that are under construction and are about to hit screens this year. A new project is joining this list of multi starrers, as Kollywood buzzes that young actors Vimal and Vijay Sedhupathi are going to come together for a flick. It seems acclaimed filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy is going to direct this flick, for which the shooting is about to start in a couple of months. For your information, Seenu Ramasamy directed the critically acclaimed movies like Thenmerkku Paruvakaatru and Neerparavai.
The sources close to Seenu Ramasamy say that the director is planned to direct a movie based on the novel written by popular writer S Ramakrishnan. The sources add that the story is about two lives that have contrasting characters and the plot will tell what happens when the two of them cross each other’s life. It seems one lead character is from city and another is from village. The sources reveal that the director is looking for a title for the project and a tentative one called Bangalore Tamizhan is under consideration.
The rest of the casting is to be done soon and this flick is going to be produced by produces K S Sreenivasan with M Raghunathan taking care of music.
