Kollywood actress Gayathri Raghuram, son of popular dance director Raghuram, has acted in movies such as ‘Whistle’ and ‘Charlie Chaplin’. She is also a dance director presently. Gayathri has recently filed for divorce in the family court.

Gayathri was married to a software engineer from America three years ago. Unable to continue living together due to various reasons, difference of opinions being one among them, Gayathri was apparently forced to file for divorce in the Chennai family court.

Gayathri claims in her application that she was tortured by her husband and has to therefore be granted divorce. In keeping with the rules and regulations of the family court, Gayathri appeared in person to file the divorce application. Family court is expected to start proceedings shortly on this issue. Seems another actress succumbs to the pressures of adjusting between career and life. Wonder what did go wrong!
