Ghajini and London Dreams Heroine ASIN walked out from Ashutosh Gowarikar film
After Asin’s performance in Ghajini, London Dreams really seemed like a bad dream. Her performance fell apart, throwing her shiny new Bollywood career into the dust. And now, she has refused to do her role in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se, where she was supposed to act opposite Abishek Bachchan. This doesn’t exactly enhance her reputation in B-town. Word on the street is that Asin agreed to the role without checking out what it actually demands out of her, but after she did read the script, she found that “it wouldn’t suit her”.

One would think that Ashutosh Gowarikar would have known that before he approached Asin, but Asin thinks otherwise. Asin walked out of the movie saying something about the dates not being right for her, but do you think that is even a reason for walking out of such a big banner? After all, we’re talking about the guy who made movies like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar. This movie could have been the one to make Asin’s career in Bollywood... or break it.

We wouldn’t really get to decide if Asin was in fact right about not being suited for the role until the movie is actually released, which isn’t going to be for a long time. Sources indicate that as of now, Deepika Padukone will be the one to replace Asin in Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se. Let’s just hope that Asin’s strategic decision would be good for her and help her career in Bollywood.
