The Palakkad Malayalee and Bangalore based Actress Sridevika made her debut in Tamil cinema with the demure image opposite Jai Akash in the washout film, 'Ramakrishna' in 2003. Later she acted in two Telugu movies one of which is opposite Dr.Rajasekar in 'Raja Babu'. She got the Malayali portion role in Kannada film 'My Autograph', a remake of director Cheran’s Autograph, under the debut direction of actor Sudeep that was a silver jubilee film. Then she acted in "Anbe Vaa" as heroine with a new hero. She has been studying MBA through correspondence course from Hyderabad University.

She has done female lead role in ‘Sarithiram’ opposite Mirugam hero Aathi and ‘Uyir’ and ‘Mirugam’ fame director Saamy is directing the movie while Kalabavan Mani and Rajkiran doing important roles. Sarithiram reveals the history of Tamils’ traditional self-defense art ‘Silambam’ and the braveness and love of silambam fighters. The film is expected to release this month. Sridevika has got a good role in Pa.Vijay's debut film ‘Gnabagangal’. She hopes the film will be a turning point to her career. She says "Because the role I played in the film is like that. For me it is my life time role". Sridevika has now completed the shooting of the film and the post production works are going on. She opted for dubbing for her part in this film. Though she is lacking in Tamil accent her character in the film needs only that much of accent. Moreover her character has to speak Hindi in the film. As she fluently speaks Hindi and she has impeccable timing and good voice director Jeevan convinced and allowed her to dub. Hero Pa Vijay is also impressed and encouraged the actress for her own dubbing. This is her first ever own dubbing in Tamil.

After seeing her glamorous Stills of ‘Sarithiram’ and ‘‘Gnabagangal’, it seems she wants to shed her conventional image and she is trying hard to become a glam girl. When media asked about her image makeover, she asks, “Is this called a makeover? I don’t know.” She adds that her roles in both films required her to be modern and she just agreed to it. “In 'Sarithiram', my character actually spans from the 1960s to the 1980s.” Sridevika really hopes to have a successful glamorous year ahead. US Writer Maya Angelou said “Talent is like electricity. We don't understand electricity. We use it”. Let her use her talent and come up in life.
