Male Actor Glamour - The new season in Tamil Cinema
Male Actors in Tamil cinema started to show their six packs body. It was the style, which started by Bollywood actors. Shahrukh Khan in Om Shanthi Om, Hrithik Roshan. In Dhoom2 and now Amir khan in Kajini shows their six-pack body. The study says there is considerable female fan impressed with this type of new glamour.
The sentiment has started in Tamil cinema too. In Pollathavan Dhanush shows his six pack body in climax. In Varanam Ayiram Surya and In Sathyam Vishal shows their glamour. Vijay and Silambarasan show their body by wearing non-button shirts. In Mid of Tamil cinema (1970-1990) the Heroes were wear coat and suit for entire movie and later it was changed. The current cinema heroes only wearing normal dress but in song sequence only they wearing luxury coat-suit.
It seems like the heroes impressing the female fans by wearing non-button shirts or top outfit... this style should not sustain for long run. Since heroes forget one point that whenever seeing that type of still or pose male audiences are not like as they feel in-security of their body. This comments is strange to you to read. But this is real fact. If you are male ask yourself Do you like these guys showing their glamour to your dear one?

"If you are male ask yourself Do you like these guys showing their glamour to your dear one?" I am assuming that whoever wrote this must be a male South Indian because insecurity among South Indian males especially Tamil men runs deep. Let me ask you something: all this while when the actresses were stripping down for glamarous poses, did anyone of the male fans ever ask how their dear ones would feel when they saw their men ogling at these women? Now finally after decades of seeing pot bellied and double chinned men in Tamil films we are finally seeing some hard rock bodies and suddenly you guys get all insecure? Go get a life or better still get a better body. Men in Bollywood have been showing off their bodies long before it caught on in the South but do you hear Northern men whining about it? They go out to the gym and try to emulate the heroes. So instead of wasting time doing palabhisegam for the heroes, if your hero shows off his body, go out and try to get one! And let the ladies enjoy the well toned and muscular bodies of the men on screen. And please don't say that Dhanush was the first who started the craze...he might be the first to sport the look but no one noticed it and certainly women did not swoon. That credit goes to Surya who not only came with a good body but also a very handsome face (sorry Vishal you do not come near) and then suddenly everyone is talking about six pack...girls are salivating over it while Tamil men are whining over it....I say to the six packers of Tamil films -- take off your shirts and Amen to that!!
