Uyir and Mirugam director Saamy got heroine for his next venture "Charithiram". Mirugam got lot of publicity to director Saamy as he slapped Padmapriya. Due to this he has been ban for a year to do next venture.

His ban was relaxed by Tamil film chamber recently and he is now ready with next project. Rajkiran and Mirugam Aathi both are would act male lead roles. Director Saamy rummages around lot of heroines for female lead including his disruptive heroine Padmapriya. But entire this futile search was zeroed after Karuppasamy Kuthaikarar fame actress Meenakshi finalized.

Bengal based and Typical Tamil looks actress Meenakshi now learning "Silambattam" - The Oldest Traditional martial arts of Tamil Nadu for this movie.  After Karuppasamy Kuthaikarar Meenakshi never being paid any break. Meenakshi believes Charithram would get break to her as she daunted the story and Saamy direction skills.
