Hard work pays’ people say. It has become true in actor Suriya’s life. In the last decade, Suriya has been concentrating a lot on his acting and more importantly chose perfect movies and scripts to work on. In addition to this, he gave everything he can to portray his roles in the movies he chose. Some great examples include getting army training and sporting a six pack for Vaaranam Aayiram and learning circus stunts for the recent Ezhaam Arivu. The result for his hard work was obvious in earning him enormous reputation from the audiences and critics of Tamil cinema. However, the dream result has come now. Suriya, according to reliable sources, has become the Kollywood’s highest paid actor.

We already know that director N Lingusamy showed interest in making a film with Suriya. However, the Aadhavan star was busy with commitments he had signed on already. N Lingusamy, however, seems to have persuaded Suriya to accept his offer. Although Suriya has signed on the dotted lines, if sources are to be believed, the movie, it seems, would start only after Suriya’s previous commitments.

It seems the producers of the movie have offered the star a whooping thirty crore rupees for playing the lead role in the movie. According to sources, Suriya would be getting fifteen crore for the Tamil version of the movie, and would be getting another fifteen for the Telugu version, as the movie is touted to be a bilingual. The sources also add that Suriya’s ever growing popularity in Telugu industry have convinced the producers to offer him such a whooping remuneration.
Surya-at-dailomoDirector N Lingusamy was not available for a comment and his brother, who is one of the producers of the movie, Subash Chandra Bose, said that the movie is a bilingual and would be go on floors from February 2013. He, however, declined to comment on the Suriya’s remuneration.
