Telugu movie director Puri Jagannath’s latest flick, which is tentatively as Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is doing the rounds in Telugu cinema industry. Actor Pawan Kalyan and actress Tamannaah have done the male and female lead roles in the movie, which has hit the screens recently. The Kollywood industry too is abuzz with the news that Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu would be remade in Tamil cinema. The actor who is touted to play the lead role reprised by Pawan Kalyan is none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay, if the reports are to be believed!
Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu is a take on political issues and media, which is one of the hot genres of the South Indian commercial cinema. Although numerous movies have already dealt this genre in detail, still it does well in box office when B and C regions are considered. In addition to this, director Puri Jagannath is a well known figure for making racy and interesting commercial flicks with top stars in the industry. He has made Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu with some good political punch dialogues, which the moviemakers in Tamil cinema believe will connect with the Tamil audiences well.
Moreover, actor Vijay has been doing such type of movies for a while, and he also enjoys a good mass fan following. Hence, it seems the moviemakers are willing to cast actor Vijay in the remake of Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu. Since Vijay is also interested in making a plunge into politics, it seems Vijay is the right choice to do the flick in all aspects. Although it is unclear that who is buying the Tamil remake rights, it is almost certain that Vijay would do the lead role, say the industry insiders.
It is to be remembered that Vijay has already starred in Pokkiri, which is nothing but a remake of the Puri Jagannath’s Telugu original!
