We already know that Venkat Prabhu, the director of Mankatha and Chennai 600028, is busy wielding the project titled Biriyani with actor Karthi and actress Richa Gangopadhyay. However, the latest buzz in the Tamil cinema industry reveals that, soon Venkat Prabhu may join hands with actor Vijay for a new project, once his Biriyani gets completed.

We all know that Jiiva starrer and Mysskin directorial Mugamoodi’s audio launch event took place a few days ago. Actor Vijay was the chief guest at the event and director Venkat Prabhu too was present at the event. Both of the celebrities spent good amount of time with each other and was seen discussing many things in the event. When Venkat Prabhu addressed the gathering, fans of the Ilayathalapathy asked the Saroja director whether he is ready to direct actor Vijay. Venkat Prabhu gladly told them that he is ready always to direct Illayathalapathy. He added that he is just waiting for his dates to start a new project with him. Actor Vijay too stated that he is always interested in working with Venkat Prabhu. He further added that he is anticipating joining hands with him for a new movie after his current assignments.

We have to note that right from his first movie, Chennai 600028, as a director, Venkat Prabhu has delivered some fantastic entertainers with the likes of Goa, Saroja and the recent action thriller Mankatha starring Ajith. In addition to this, actor Vijay holds an outstanding mass fan following in Tamil Nadu. He is right now busy with A R Murugadoss’s Thuppakki and will be doing Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Yohan Adhyayam Ondru.

If these two big names in Tamil cinema get together for a project, then it would clearly create a spectacular interest among the people who follow Tamil cinema closely. Let us see how things fall in place to see the both the celebrities working together for a movie in future!
