The sprout of internet has done a wide variety of good to many users. Especially, the social networking sites such as the Facebook and Twitter have had a profound influence on people from all walks of life and have ensured greater connectivity among them. Especially for the stars and celebrities and in cinema industries, such sites act as a good platform to connect with their fans directly, without staking their privacy. However, cyber crime activists like hackers make things difficult for them and try to demolish their image as a celebrity by simply hacking their social networking site accounts.
A new hacking incident has created a buzz recently in Tamil cinema industry, which involves bubbly actress Hansika Motwani. It seems Hansika Motwani’s Twitter account had been hacked by some anonymous hacker a couple of days ago. In addition to hacking, the hacker had also changed her account password, which did not allow the actress to log into her profile when she later tried to do. Following this, Hansika had requested the concerned authorities to reset the password and to bring back the authentication of her Twitter profile.
Soon after logging into her account, she tweeted to her fans that her account was hacked the previous night for two hours. She added that she had got it then under her control and that everything was alright. This is not the first time such hacking attack is being launched against the Settai actress. Couple of years ago, her Facebook account too was hacked and rubbish content was spread through it by the hackers.
While Hansika’s case is of this type, recently many cinema celebrities including Chinamyee, Sudeep and Sameera Reddy too faced problems from the hackers and fake profile creators. Twitter’s growing popularity is attracting many stars and celebrities to start accounts and connect with their fans, but such problems are being considered vulnerable to their image!
