It is comeback time for director Selvaraghavan. His Irandaam Ulagam, although getting mixed to positive reviews from the critics, fizzled out in the box office. The high budget movie, estimated to be produced with sixty six crore rupees, did not do well and was soon out of the theaters on the arrival of the new movies. However, director Selvaraghavan has already moved on and is working on his next script it seems. The buzz is that the director is about to team up with actor Simbu for the first time in his career.
Some reports suggested that director Selvaraghavan has committed to the P V P production house again, which produced the director’s Irandaam Ulagam, to do a movie for them without accepting any remuneration. The reports also added that Selvaraghavan is going to rope in his brother Dhanush again for his next project, but, it seems to be different story now. Sources close to the director Selvaraghavan confirm that the director has roped in actor Simbu to do the lead role in his next project. Even there is a change in the producer too. It seems as if this new project in the pipeline is going to be produced by Varun Manian.
While the theme of the new project is not out yet, it seems that the director has narrated a shorter version of the script to actor Simbu and that he has agreed to join hands with him for sure. The sources say that director Selvaraghavan is working on the script right now and has not done any other casting other than Simbu. It seems as if the shooting of the movie would start in the earlier months of next year. Until then, actor Simbu would have time to wrap up all his current commitments.
